Bermudian swimmer Teagan Mewett helped guide Mercersburg Academy girls’ swim team to a commanding season-opening victory over Cavalier Aquatics in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Travelling for their first competitive test of the new campaign, the Pennsylvania boarding school produced a clinical all-round performance on the road to secure a 127-98 dual-meet triumph.
Mercersburg set the standard across both the individual events and relays, accumulating consistent high-placed finishes to build an early cushion and keep the host club at arm's length throughout the session.
The 29-point winning margin provides an ideal springboard for Mewett and her team-mates as Mercersburg look to build early-season momentum across their demanding interscholastic schedule.
