PREMIER DIVISION
Dandy Town Hornets 7 Young Men Social Club 1
Dandy Town Hornets delivered a ruthless attacking masterclass to dismantle Young Men's Social Club 7-1, headlining an eventful evening of domestic league action.
In the opening clash of a Premier Division double-header at PHC Stadium, Hornets put on a clinical clinic, effectively putting the contest to bed inside the opening half-hour.
Spence set the tone inside three minutes with a clinical early opener, before Hannay doubled the advantage on 16 minutes. David Jones then took centre stage with a devastating three-minute double, striking in the 25th and 28th minutes to leave Social Club reeling.
Gibbons added a fifth before the interval, and he picked up right where he left off three minutes into the second half to make it six.
Jones duly completed his hat-trick six minutes later, rounding off a sensational individual evening. Zeiko Lewis managed an 88th-minute consolation for Social Club, but it did little to soften the blow of Town's relentless rout.
PHC Zebras 0 Devonshire Cougars 2
The nightcap saw Devonshire Cougars produce an accomplished away display to upset hosts PHC Zebras 2-0.
Cougars struck early through Domino Coddington, who broke the deadlock with just nine minutes on the clock. The visitors doubled their cushion five minutes before the break courtesy of Samaria Valasse-Paul, sending Cougars into half-time with a comfortable two-goal cushion.
PHC pushed to find a route back into the contest after the restart, but Cougars' backline stood firm to see out a professional clean sheet and secure all three points.
