Bermuda’s Cody Robinson, Justin Sukdeo, Chance Eve, and T'syi Showers played key roles as Thomas College earned a commanding 4-1 road victory over rivals Husson University at John P. Boucher Field.
The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) clash in Bangor, Maine proved an emphatic statement from the Terriers, who improved to a flawless 4-0 in conference play as they step up their pursuit of the number one overall seed for the 2026 postseason tournament.
Husson made a brisk start in front of their home supporters, firing two warning shots high of the crossbar inside the opening sixty seconds.
However, Thomas absorbed the early flurry and quickly flipped the momentum. Robinson registered the game’s first effort on target on 15 minutes, testing the Eagles goalkeeper with a well-struck drive.
The visitors' pressure told in the 26th minute when they were awarded a penalty kick. Forward David Ivarsson showed trademark composure from the spot, dispatching the ball past the keeper to hand the Terriers a vital 1-0 advantage.
Just six minutes later, Thomas doubled their lead when a low delivery created chaos in the Eagles penalty area, resulting in an unfortunate deflection off a Husson defender for an own goal.
The Terriers almost added a third on the stroke of half-time, with Daud Abdi drawing a fine save from the Husson stopper.
Husson attempted to mount a fightback after the restart, but the Terriers' defensive unit—marshalled by Max Gilbert, Brynjar Johannsson, Serafin Garcia, and Jonatan Holmsteinsson—held firm against sustained aerial pressure.
The Terriers put clear daylight between the sides in the 64th minute. Marcus Larsson unlocked the Husson defence with a clever turn past his marker before rifling a powerful strike into the right corner of the net to make it 3-0.
Husson responded almost immediately. Less than a minute later, the Eagles pulled one back through a spectacular curling effort that clipped the top right corner to cut the deficit to 3-1.
Any hopes of an improbable home comeback were extinguished in the 77th minute. Jeremiah Gomez produced a moment of individual brilliance, slaloming past two Husson defenders on the edge of the area before slotting a clinical finish into the bottom left corner.
The Terriers comfortably managed the closing stages to secure all three points and preserve their perfect conference record.
