Dylan Muso produced a sharp second-round recovery to keep McDaniel College in the hunt as the Green Terror reached a tie for 10th place at the West Pines Collegiate Golf Tournament in Georgia.
Competing across the tight fairways of West Pines Golf Club in Douglasville, the Maryland-based collegiate outfit ended the second round sitting at 10 over par, positioned firmly in the mid-pack of a congested leaderboard.
Muso, sharing 65th place individually, displayed notable grit to bounce back from an uneven opening circuit.
The Bermudian carded an initial five-over-par 76 on day one, finding scoring opportunities hard to come by on the demanding layout. His opening effort featured a single birdie and 12 steady pars, though four bogeys and a damaging double bogey pegged him back.
However, Muso demonstrated admirable composure during round two, trimming four strokes off his morning benchmark with a gritty one-over-par 72.
The second round saw the McDaniel talent hit his stride around the greens, converting three birdies and 11 pars to counteract four bogeys. The four-shot improvement offered crucial support to McDaniel’s collective team tally, helping them hold firm inside the top 10 as the competition moves into its decisive phase.
