National Records Tumble in Archery Double-Header at Gold Point

Bermudian archers capitalized on pristine conditions at Gold Point Archery as three new national records fell during a bumper day of competition hosted by the National Archery Association of Bermuda.
The governing body staged both the Outdoor Nationals and the Bermuda Archery Tournament on the same card, with competitors making full use of ideal shooting weather to deliver standout performances across recurve, compound, and barebow disciplines.
The headlines belonged to record-breaking trio Braeden Fraser, Naseeha Talbot, and Liam Fraser, who each etched their names into the national record books with winning displays in their respective divisions.
In the Bermuda Archery Tournament, Braeden Fraser led the record-breaking spree in the Recurve Cadet Male 40m division, claiming first place with a fine tally of 618 points from a possible 720. Talbot followed suit in the Compound Cadet Female 20m category, firing her way into the record logs with a winning score of 536, while young Liam Fraser capped a memorable outing by setting a national mark in the Barebow Yeoman Male 10m event with 481 points.
Earlier in the day, the Outdoor Nationals saw senior international Jaydon Roberts produce a commanding performance on the 70m range. Roberts hit top form in the Recurve Senior Men's division, taking top honours with 629 out of 720. Jamie Fraser also enjoyed success at the senior distance, securing first place in the Recurve Senior Men's 60m class with 449 points.
The Bermuda Archery Tournament provided a competitive showcase across multiple age groups and categories.
In the recurve ranks, Anthony Grant clinched victory in the Senior Men's 30m division with 416 points, while Sophia Davidge took top spot in the Cub Female 30m with 428.
At the 20m distance, Gabriella Smith won the Junior Female division on 413 points, Zea Roberts topped the Cub Female division with 468 points, and George Esterhuysen tallied 296 points in the Cub Male division.
The barebow categories rounded out the day's honours, with Damon Watson claiming the Senior Men's 40m title on 416 points, while Xavior Thomas shot a score of 334 to win the Cub Male 20m category.
