Bermudian triathlete Nick Pilgrim produced a resolute, well-rounded performance to secure a 13th-place finish at the 2026 Africa Triathlon Cup in Tipaza, Algeria.
Taking on an international elite field along the Mediterranean coast, Pilgrim dipped beneath the hour mark to stop the clock in a total time of 58 minutes 56 seconds.
The Bermudian established a solid foundation in the water, completing the swim leg in 9:33 to stay firmly within touch of the main pack heading into the first transition.
Out on the bike course, Pilgrim dug deep over a testing circuit, navigating the technical sections to register a split of 30:02 and keep himself in contention for the upper half of the field.
He then rounded out his afternoon with a sharp effort on the concluding run leg, clocking 17:09 across the final discipline to battle through to 13th position.
