American sailor Charlotte Rose held her nerve through Saturday’s Final and Medal series to be crowned 2026 ILCA 6 world champion, while Bermuda Olympian Adriana Penruddocke concluded her regatta in 40th overall.
Rose entered the deciding day atop the standings and navigated the high-stakes medal racing with composure, claiming the title with a total of 23 points. Belgium's Emma Plasschaert secured the silver medal on 28 points, with Anna Munch of Denmark completing the podium places for bronze with 34.
For Penruddocke, the final day in Dublin Bay provided one last opportunity to test herself in the Gold Fleet following a difficult series of qualifying rounds.
The 25-year-old Bermudian took to the water for the lone fleet contest of the day, crossing the line in 38th position to wrap up her championship with 216 net points and 40th spot on the overall leaderboard.
The week-long regatta brought together a world-class field of Olympic and international competitors, providing vital high-calibre racing experience for Penruddocke on the world stage.
