Nuff Said Second as Mechanical Trouble Halts Team Bermuda

IslandStats.com
Luis Martins and throttleman Nick Imprescia powered S-12 Nuff Said / Bermuda to a strong second-place finish in the opening Super Stock heat race of the Roar Offshore Championship off Fort Myers Beach.

Contesting across the Gulf of Mexico waters under light rain, scattered clouds, and gentle four-to-six mile-per-hour breezes from the south-southwest, the Bermudian contingent experienced contrasting fortunes on Saturday.

Martins and Imprescia delivered a composed performance, navigating the slick coastal circuit to secure the runner-up spot behind heat winners Allied / STR (S-54). The result positions Nuff Said firmly near the sharp end of the grid for Sunday’s main championship decider.

However, there was immediate heartbreak for pole-sitters David Selley and Steven Bridges in S-25 Team Bermuda / GL. After dominating Friday’s practice and seeding sessions, the crew’s race came to an abrupt halt after completing just a single circuit before mechanical issues forced an early retirement.

Selley and Bridges will now face an uphill battle from the rear of the pack as they aim to mount a fightback in Sunday's feature race.
