IslandStats.com
David Selley and throttleman Steven Bridges spearheaded an impressive opening day for Bermuda at the ROAR Offshore Championship, topping both practice and seeding sessions in the Super Stock class off Margaritaville Beach Resort, Fort Myers Beach.

Piloting S-25 Team Bermuda / GL, the duo set the tone in Practice Round 1 with a benchmark fastest lap of 2 minutes 54.224 seconds, edging out compatriots Luis Martins and Nick Imprescia in S-12 Nuff Said / Bermuda, who clocked 2:59.999 to complete an early Bermudian one-two.

Selley and Bridges consolidated their dominance when competitive qualifying got under way in Friday's second seeding round. The S-25 crew trimmed their time further to secure pole position, laying down a blistering fastest lap of 2:53.729 alongside a remarkably consistent 2:53.953 average.

Martins and Imprescia maintained strong representation near the sharp end of the grid, qualifying third with a best effort of 2:56.857 in Nuff Said.

With qualifying complete, both crews have positioned themselves firmly in contention ahead of the weekend’s championship heats across the Gulf waters.
