Bermudian Olympian Adriana Penruddocke endured a difficult outing on Friday, sliding 10 places down the leaderboard following the final Elimination Series contest at the ILCA 6 Women's World Championship.
Entering the decisive QE5 race positioned in 29th, Penruddocke struggled to find clean air in the Gold Fleet, crossing the line in 46th position.
The result proved costly, pushing the 25-year-old down to 39th overall with a tally of 178 net points.
The conclusion of Friday's solitary qualifying contest finalized the top ten competitors who will advance to Saturday’s ILCA 6 Final and Medal Series, with each allocated their adjusted carry-over points for the podium showdown.
While Penruddocke misses out on the medal series cut, she will look to close out her regatta on a positive note during the remaining fleet racing on Saturday.
