Bermudian Olympian Adriana Penruddocke suffered a frustrating setback on the fourth day of the 2026 ILCA 6 Women's World Championship, tumbling eight places down the leaderboard in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland.
Penruddocke began the afternoon positioned encouragingly in 21st place within the elite Gold Fleet, but a succession of difficult outings off the Dublin coast saw her slip to 29th overall on 154 net points.
It proved an unforgiving day on the water across three scheduled contests:
Race One: Penruddocke crossed the line in 30th position as tricky conditions disrupted the fleet.
Race Two: The Bermudian sailor battled through traffic to finish 34th.
Race Three: A challenging afternoon was compounded when she was disqualified from the day's final race.
The costly sequence of results leaves Penruddocke facing an uphill battle to climb back up the Gold Fleet standings, with the 24-year-old aiming to reset and recapture her early-regatta form as racing continues in Ireland.
