Saint Peter's University produced a clinical display of finishing, striking three times in just over two minutes to cruise to an emphatic 4-0 non-conference victory over Temple.
Connell McErlain led the charge for the Peacocks with a brace, while Marcos De Elias contributed a goal and an assist to secure the hosts' second win of the campaign. Bermudian midfielder Enriqué Mendes featured prominently in the attacking buildup, testing the Owls' goalkeeper with two shots on target.
The breakthrough arrived in the 25th minute when McErlain stepped up to convert from the penalty spot after a foul in the box.
Holding a slender 1-0 advantage into the second period, the Peacocks completely dismantled Temple with a ruthless attacking burst around the hour mark:
59th minute: Leo Coval doubled the advantage, finishing neatly after being picked out by Caleb Hughes.
60th minute: De Elias got on the scoresheet sixty seconds later, converting a delivery from freshman Toby Smith.
61st minute: McErlain capped the flurry, combining with De Elias to bag his second of the afternoon and seal a comprehensive rout.
At the other end, freshman goalkeeper Sebastian Heredia-Randen preserved the clean sheet with four saves across the 90 minutes.
The result lifts Saint Peter's to 2-1-1 on the season, while Temple remain winless, slipping to 0-3-1.
