Spectators at the PCC Hockey Rink were treated to a 28-goal spectacle as the Bermuda Inline Ball Hockey season continued with two high-scoring encounters.
The opening clash saw Rev Auto Rippers edge out McKee Swizzle Magnets 6-5 in a gripping contest defined by a masterclass from Bill Calko. The forward proved unstoppable in front of goal, burying four strikes to lead his side across the line. Matthew Benson and Tommy Miller each added a single marker to provide vital support in the one-goal victory.
The Swizzle Magnets pushed right to the final whistle, with Alexandre Larouche and Ryan Wilson netting two goals apiece, while Craig Rowat also found the scoresheet, but they were unable to find the crucial equaliser in the closing stages.
The goalscoring reached even greater heights in the evening's second fixture, where Jingles Jawbreakers outgunned Mason's Pylons 10-7 in a 17-goal shootout.
Adam Mattatal and Hart Freedman spearheaded the Jawbreakers' relentless offence with clinical hat-tricks, while Matthew Ingleman chipped in with two goals. Single efforts from Kyle Hankins and Seth Duerden completed the double-digit haul for Jingles.
Mason's Pylons mounted a spirited response with balanced scoring of their own, as Mathieu Desjardins, Louis Sujir, and Matt MacPhail each struck two goals, alongside a marker from Greg Van der Made, but the Jawbreakers' firepower ultimately proved insurmountable.
