Bermudian players experienced an eventful weekend across the English football pyramid, featuring dramatic late goals, crucial victories, and narrow cup exits.
In the National League North, midfielder Keziah Martin played a key role as Hereford FC secured a disciplined 1-0 away victory over Southport at Haig Avenue, ensuring the Bulls took all three points on the road.
Further down the leagues, experienced playmaker Reggie Lambe sealed a pulsating 4-2 triumph for Ipswich Wanderers against Cornard United in the Thurlow Nunn Premier League. Wanderers raced out to a commanding 3-0 advantage at the GBS Stadium before the visitors mounted a second-half response. Lambe settled the contest four minutes into stoppage time, finding the back of the net to extinguish any hopes of a late comeback.
There was heartbreak for Willie Clemons, despite an impressive individual contribution for Leiston FC away at Bury Town in the Southern League Premier Central. With his side trailing late in the second half, Clemons produced a moment of brilliance in the 84th minute, firing an effort in off the crossbar to level the score at 3-3. However, Bury Town struck decisively deep into added time to snatch a 4-3 victory.
Milan Butterfield also found the scoresheet but ended up on the losing side as Halesowen Town suffered a 3-1 defeat to Redditch United at The Valley. The Bermudian midfielder claimed the lone goal for his side in an otherwise difficult afternoon away from home.
Elsewhere, Harry Twite enjoyed a successful outing with Basford United, who claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Belper Town at Greenwich Avenue.
At Steel Park, Milai Perrott was involved in a high-scoring thriller as Corby Town shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw with AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
The Isthmian League brought disappointment for CJ Fubler and Brighton Morrison, whose Binfield FC side slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Hartley Wintney at Hill Farm Lane.
Meanwhile, coach Daizhari Tucker saw his Worcester Raiders side bow out of the FA Trophy following a tight 2-1 defeat against Sutton Coldfield Town in their preliminary round tie.
