The final round of the Eastern County Cup competition ended in a draw after rain delays and resilient batting headlined an eventful clash between St David's Cricket Club and Bailey's Bay.
Inclement weather overnight and into the morning pushed back the start of play, but once conditions cleared, St David's won the toss and elected to field first in a match reduced to 48 overs per side.
Captain Terryn Fray set the tone for Bailey's Bay with an authoritative innings at the crease.
Fray struck a composed 83 off 101 deliveries—an innings featuring six boundaries and one maximum—to guide his side to a competitive total of 218 for 9.
Seth Campbell proved to be the standout performer with the ball for St David's, finishing with impressive figures of 4 for 40 from his full allocation of 12 overs.
St David's response was anchored by a landmark innings from OJ Pitcher, even as time and overs ran out on a decisive result.
Pitcher remained unbeaten on 50 not out, carrying his side to 122 for 4 at the close of play while bringing up a personal milestone of 1,000 Eastern County runs.
