Rising Venezuelan golfer Virgilio Paz has confirmed his entry for next month's Goslings Bermuda Open at Port Royal Golf Course, the Bermuda Golf Association (BGA) has announced.
Paz, who finished runner-up at the 2026 Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC), headlines an expanding international field heading to Southampton for one of the island's premier domestic championships.
The young prospect earned widespread acclaim earlier this year for his composure during the high-stakes LAAC finale, cementing his reputation as one of the region's top emerging amateur talents.
"The Bermuda Golf Association is pleased to announce the commitment of Virgilio Paz to the Goslings Bermuda Open," the governing body said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming Virgilio to Bermuda and seeing him compete at Port Royal this September."
The Goslings Bermuda Open returns to the famed par-71 Port Royal layout in September, offering local contenders and visiting international challengers a stern test over the ocean-side championship links.
