Bermuda's junior golfers have strengthened their grip on second place at the 2026 North America Junior Cup in Mexico, mounting a sensational charge with a combined second-round score of 42-under-par 205.
Competing across the greens at the Vidanta Vallarta resort, the Bermudian squad produced a scoring masterclass in the pairs format to move 14 points clear of third-placed Canada, sitting 13 points adrift of tournament leaders and hosts Mexico.
Weston and Soutter lead red-hot scoring charge
Will Weston and Ramsay Soutter once again set the pace for the team, delivering an electric round of 60 to spearhead Bermuda's surge up the leaderboard.
They were matched in quality by Max Parry and Damian Moniz, who carded a brilliant 61, while Sa-Qui Robinson and Lachlan Soutter kept up the relentless pressure with a sharp 63.
Strong team display cements medal position
Arman Newton and Grayson Tavares combined cleanly to return a six-under-par 66, and the pairing of Kaillie Matthews and Sebastian Gomez signed for a solid three-under 69 to complete a dominant collective effort across the squad.
The combined 250 leaves Bermuda firmly in title contention heading into the business end of the tournament, with clear daylight between themselves and the chasing pack.
