A commanding half-century from Vishal Mamgai and a disciplined team bowling display guided Phoenix to victory in the West of England Premier Cricket League (WEPL) Bristol & North Somerset encounter, despite an impressive five-wicket haul from Frenchay’s Alex Stell.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Bristol West Indian Phoenix set a competitive target on the back of Mamgai's standout 74.
Frenchay bowler Stell kept the hosts within reach, producing a destructive spell of 5-19 from 9.1 overs to bowl Phoenix out for 185. Smith provided support with the ball to claim 1-28 from his six overs, while Jeffers was dismissed for one.
Yadav and Jeffers Stifle Frenchay Chase
In reply, Frenchay struggled to build enduring partnerships against a tight Phoenix attack. Akshat Krishna offered the primary resistance at the crease with a top score of 30, but Frenchay were pegged back regularly as Smith fell without scoring.
Rushabh Yadav led the charge with the ball, claiming 4-28 from 6.2 overs, while Jeffers produced an economical 10-over shift to take 2-25 with two maidens. The combined effort saw Frenchay dismissed for 155, handing Phoenix the 30-run win.
