Bristol West Indian Phoenix CC held off a determined Knowle CC chase to claim a 45-run victory in their West of England Premier League Bristol & North Somerset encounter at The Rose Green Centre.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the hosts mounted a formidable total of 316 before being bowled out. The innings was anchored by twin knocks of 91 from
Rushabh Yadav and Neiland Cadogan, though Knowle bowler Mohib Ahmadzai kept the visitors in contention with a superb five-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 5-55 from his 10 overs. Cameron Jeffers chipped in with eight.
Knowle mounted a spirited reply behind a fine 98 from Mark Coombes, but ultimately fell short after being dismissed for 271.
Felix Wright proved the decisive factor with the ball for Phoenix, claiming 4-44 from 6.4 overs to dismantle the Knowle lower order and seal the points. Jeffers returned figures of 0-18 from two overs.
