Bermuda international Chare Smith and Frenchay Cricket Club suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Keynsham CC in their West of England Premier Cricket League Bristol & North Somerset Division clash at the Bob Stone Ground.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Frenchay posted a competitive total of 205 before being bowled out in the 43rd over.
A Krishna anchored the innings with a composed half-century (50), while Smith provided vital lower-order impetus with a brisk 27 off 22 deliveries, an innings featuring four boundaries and a six. However, Keynsham bowler J Burston proved the chief destroyer, tearing through the Frenchay order to finish with remarkable figures of 5-38 from his eight overs.
Keynsham made light work of the run chase in response, reaching 206-3 with plenty of overs to spare to wrap up a clinical victory.
Burston capped off an outstanding individual all-round performance by anchoring the chase with an unbeaten 73.
A Stell was the pick of the Frenchay attack, claiming 2-38 from eight overs, while Smith went unrewarded with the ball, returning figures of 0-45 from 6.4 overs as the visitors eased over the line.
