Bermuda’s contingent of overseas footballers experienced a dramatic weekend of league action across the English pyramid, headlined by Nathan Trott’s heroics in goal for Cardiff City and Keziah Martin finding the net for Hereford FC.
Trott stands tall in Cardiff thriller
In League One, goalkeeper Nathan Trott played a vital role between the posts to help Cardiff City secure a dramatic point against Wrexham.
Trott produced a series of crucial saves throughout a fiercely contested clash before Rubin Colwill struck a sensational last-minute equaliser to earn the Bluebirds a hard-fought draw.
Martin on target in Hereford victory
In the National League North, midfielder Keziah Martin got on the scoresheet to set Hereford FC on their way to a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Radcliffe FC.
Martin broke the deadlock in the 11th minute when his dangerous, curling corner kick proved too much for Radcliffe goalkeeper Tom Donaghy, who spilled the delivery over the line. Hereford never looked back, adding two more goals to take all three points.
Crichlow edges Tucker in all-Bermuda clash
Kane Crichlow claimed bragging rights over international team-mate Ne-Jai Tucker as Dagenham & Redbridge battled through a gritty encounter to secure a 2-0 away victory over Walton & Hersham.
Tough outings in non-league tiers
Elsewhere, experienced forward Reggie Lambe and Ipswich Wanderers suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Stowmarket Town.
Defender Harry Twite also experienced a frustrating afternoon as Basford United went down 1-0 against Shepshed Dynamo.
Meanwhile, in the Isthmian League South Central season opener, CJ Fubler and Binfield endured a difficult start at the Robert Parker Stadium, falling 4-0 to a clinical Ashford Town side.
