Southampton Rangers seal title with colossal display
Southampton Rangers were crowned Premier Division champions following one of the most dominant performances in domestic history.
Batting first, Rangers piled on an enormous 557 all out, led by a blistering unbeaten double century from Allan Douglas. Douglas smashed 218 not out from just 79 deliveries, an innings that featured 15 fours and 21 sixes. Onias Bascome provided fireworks of his own, striking a 60-ball 114 with eight boundaries and 10 maximums. Toronta Darrell was the pick of the Cuts attack, taking 3-55.
In response, Willow Cuts folded for just 45 inside 11 overs. Ras Solomon Burrows provided the lone resistance with 22, as Delray Rawlins (4-4) and Douglas (4-19) tore through the line-up to seal the championship in emphatic style.
Sapra six-for powers St George's past St David's
St. George's Cricket Club claimed local bragging rights with a comprehensive 163-run victory over St. David's in a rain-reduced 45-over contest.
Macai Simmons anchored the St. George's innings with 66 from 73 balls, supported by Jonte Smith's composed 55, lifting their side to 238-7 despite Isaiah O'Brien's 2-32.
St. David's never gained traction in the chase, restricted to 75-9 as Rahul Sapra delivered a devastating spell of bowling, capturing 6-12 from 5.1 overs. Ricardo Brangman top-scored with 27 in a losing effort.
Warwick hold off Somerset in high-scoring thriller
Warwick Workmen's Club earned a 43-run win over Somerset Cricket Club in an entertaining, run-filled clash.
Kamau Leverock led the charge for Warwick with an explosive 93 off 50 balls (seven fours, eight sixes), while Tre Manders (56) and a rapid 19-ball 55 from Malachi Jones propelled the side to 289-7.
Somerset mounted a spirited response through Dominic Sabir, who struck a superb 108 off 70 deliveries, alongside Amari Ebbin's 66. However, Luke Horan's crucial spell of 4-31 ultimately halted the chase, bowling Somerset out for 246.
First Division
Devonshire Rec ease past PHC
Devonshire Recreation Club picked up a comfortable five-wicket victory over PHC. Phillip Thomas took 4-31 to help dismiss PHC for 113, despite a fighting 48 from Jahmari Beach. Gerald Simons then top-scored with 27 as Devonshire Rec reached 115-5 in reply, despite Sage Carter's 2-22.
Cleveland County triumph over Flatts Victoria
Cleveland County secured a 44-run win over Flatts Victoria after defending their total of 215-8. Makai Young anchored the innings with a patient 84 off 123 balls, while Jamin Furbert claimed 3-33 for Flatts.
In reply, Flatts were bowled out for 171 despite an aggressive 67 off 71 balls from Menish Karade, which included six sixes.
