Bermuda’s Ja’Shay Trott and her Americas NextGen team-mates suffered an eight-wicket defeat against Argentina to conclude their ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier campaign.
Coached by former Bermuda international Terry-Lynn Paynter, the NextGen development side struggled to find momentum after being put in to bat, eventually being bowled out for 81.
Trott fell without scoring during a testing batting display, as Argentina’s bowling attack applied consistent pressure throughout the innings.
In response, Argentina chased down the target with ease, reaching 82-2 to wrap up a comprehensive victory.
Despite the team's struggles, Trott delivered a disciplined display with the ball. The Bermudian all-rounder finished as the standout performer in the attack, claiming figures of 1-11 from her four overs.
