Menace proved the boat to beat after securing top spot on corrected time in the latest round of local handicap racing, edging out a competitive fleet in dynamic conditions.
Skippered with tactical precision, the PHRF entry Menace completed the course in 1:23:24, but it was their favorable handicap rating that proved decisive, handing them a commanding corrected time of 1:16:03 to seal maximum points.
The Etchells entry Thrash pushed hard throughout to claim a well-earned second place. Clocking an elapsed time of 1:28:09, their corrected marker of 1:18:56 kept them comfortably ahead of the chasing pack to take two points.
Crossfire laid claim to line honours after blasting around the course in a blistering elapsed time of 01:13:08. However, tasked with overcoming a severe negative handicap (-6), the PHRF boat slipped down to third on corrected time (1:20:40) to settle for three points.
Meanwhile, the International One Design (IOD) class fought out a close duel further down the leader board. Vrengen took bragging rights in the fleet match-up, posting a corrected time of 1:20:52 to finish fourth overall, just 45 seconds ahead of fellow IOD entry Solna II, who rounded out the top five with 1:21:37.
