Bermuda’s sailors wrapped up their official practice day in Stockholm, Sweden, on Wednesday as final preparations came to a close ahead of the Team Racing World Championships.
The Bermudian contingent—featuring Millie Lewis, Ceci Wollman, Sammy Dill, Josh Greenslade, Alan Frith, Seb Round, Emily Davis, and Aiden Young—took to the water to familiarize themselves with the local fleet and get a feel for the venue.
Under bright conditions, the squad spent the early session warming up and dialing in their boat handling before linking up with the Swedish host team for a series of competitive practice starts and tactical fleet races.
The sailors encountered tricky, ever-changing conditions out on the water, with shifty breezes and sudden gusts providing a familiar test for the islanders. The unpredictable wind patterns drew close parallels to the challenging conditions typically found back home in Hamilton Harbour, offering the Bermudian sailors an encouraging boost of familiarity.
With boat setups tuned and team tactics honed, attention now turns to the opening day of competition, with official racing scheduled to get under way on Thursday morning.
