It proved a busy evening for Bermuda’s international contingent across the English football pyramid, headlined by blockbuster Carabao Cup second-round ties and goalscoring exploits in non-league action.
Luton Town Head to Stamford Bridge
Nahki Wells and his Luton Town team-mates have been handed a heavyweight tie in the second round of the Carabao Cup, with a trip to face Premier League giants Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The fixture has been confirmed for Thursday, 27 August, with a 7:30pm BST kick-off. Luton will be looking to pull off a major cup shock against top-flight opposition, with veteran striker Wells set to feature as the Hatters target a place in the third round.
Trott's Cardiff Host Norwich City
Goalkeeper Nathan Trott and Cardiff City will also feature in Round Two of the Carabao Cup after being drawn at home against Championship rivals Norwich City.
The Bluebirds will welcome the Canaries to the Cardiff City Stadium in an all-EFL clash as both sides look to secure safe passage into the next phase of the competition.
Clemons On Target for Leiston
In non-league action, midfielder Willie Clemons was among the goals as Leiston FC recorded a convincing 3-1 victory over Bishop’s Stortford.
Clemons set the tempo early for his side, opening the scoring in the 17th minute with a neat finish to lay the groundwork for a dominant team performance and three valuable points.
Binfield Retain Fubler for New Campaign
Elsewhere, Binfield FC have officially confirmed that Bermuda international Coolridge Fubler has been retained for the upcoming 2026/27 season.
Fubler, who has already racked up 84 appearances for the club, remains a key figure in Binfield's squad as they look forward to another year of progress with the Bermudian international anchored in their plans.
