Bermudian trailblazer Jashe Trott has been selected for the inaugural Americas NextGen squad ahead of the ICC Women’s Under-19 World Cup Americas Qualifier.
Trott, who made local history by becoming the first female cricketer to play in Bermuda's Men's Premier Division, earns her spot in a multi-national developmental setup aiming to showcase the region's rising talent.
Adding further Bermudian influence to the side, former international sports star and coach Terry-Lynn Paynter will lead the squad as head coach during the tournament.
The Americas NextGen initiative brings together 13 promising athletes from across North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean:

Cayman Islands host world cup pathway
The tournament takes place in the Cayman Islands, running from 4 August to 17 August, with the team competing for a spot at the upcoming ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup.
Trott's inclusion marks another significant milestone in her rapid development, following her landmark appearances in domestic senior men's cricket, as she prepares to test her skills against top regional opposition under Paynter's guidance.
