Bermuda's athletes continued to make their mark at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in the Dominican Republic, with Jack Harvey claiming a second medal of the competition while the island's bowlers completed the Men's All Events standings.
Harvey produced another outstanding performance in the pool at the Juan Pablo Duarte Aquatic Center, earning silver in the Men's 100m Backstroke.
The Bermudian first qualified comfortably for the A Final after finishing second in Heat One in 55.70 seconds, the fourth-fastest time overall. He then returned for the final and raised his performance another level, touching the wall in 54.56 seconds to secure the silver medal and add to the bronze he won earlier in the Games in the 50m backstroke, equaling the National Record he holds at the distance set back on May 3rd 2025 during the TYR Pro Series Fort Lauderdale event.
On the bowling lanes at the Sebelen Bowling Center, David Maycock led Bermuda's challenge in the Men's All Events competition, finishing 15th overall with a combined total of 4,608 pins. His consistent performances included scores of 1,360 in the Singles, 1,327 in the Doubles, 1,249 in the Trios and 672 in the Team event.
Levinc Samuels also enjoyed a solid tournament, placing 33rd with 4,452 pins. His scores came from 1,263 in Singles, 1,286 in Doubles, 1,266 in Trios and 637 in the Team competition.
The remaining Bermudians completed the standings with Anthony Hayward finishing 54th on 4,120 pins, Dennis Joell 57th with 3,972, Lamar Richardson 58th with 3,904, and Shannon Lee 59th on 3,843.
Harvey's silver medal provided another major highlight for Bermuda as the island continued to collect encouraging results across multiple disciplines, with the CAC Games campaign gathering momentum in the Dominican Republic.
