Miguel Power endured another difficult day at the ILCA UK Open & National Championships, but still managed to climb one place overall at the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy.
Starting the day in 16th place, the Bermudian sailor moved up to 15th overall despite a challenging series of races that saw him battle through the fleet.
Power opened the day's racing with a 19th-place finish before crossing the line 17th in the second race. His final outing proved to be his toughest, as he finished 27th to conclude the day's competition.
The mixed results left Power with 140 net points heading into the next stage of the championship.
Although the day did not produce the breakthrough performance he had been hoping for, the slight improvement in the overall standings keeps him in contention as the regatta enters its closing stages, with further opportunities to climb the leaderboard if conditions and results fall in his favour.
