Miguel Power endured his toughest day of the regatta as he slipped three places to 16th overall after the fourth day of competition at the ILCA UK Open & National Championships at the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy.
Starting the day in 13th position, the Bermudian sailor faced changing conditions across three races, leaving him with 96 net points heading into the closing stages of the championship.
Power made a solid start to the day, crossing the line 13th in the opening race to remain firmly in contention among the leading sailors.
However, the second race proved more challenging, with Power finishing 22nd, costing him valuable places in the overall standings.
The final race of the day was his most difficult of the regatta. Unable to recover from a slow start, Power crossed the finish line 42nd, his lowest placing of the week, resulting in a three-place drop on the leaderboard.
Despite the setback, Power remains well placed inside the top 20 of a highly competitive fleet and will look to rebound in the remaining races as he aims to finish the championship on a positive note.
