The Bermuda Triathlon Association’s Tri-A-Tri Series continued at the Clearwater Beach. Philip Woollins produced a commanding display to claim victory in the 200m swim, 8km bike and 2km run sprint triathlon, finishing almost two minutes clear of his nearest rival.
Woollins crossed the line in 27 minutes 10 seconds, putting together a balanced performance across all three disciplines to secure the overall title.
Arthur Wightman claimed second place in 29:14, while Joshua Cann completed the podium in 29:58, narrowly dipping under the 30-minute mark.
The fastest female competitor in the race was Madeleine Friend, whose impressive time of 30:48 earned her fourth place overall, finishing ahead of Lionel Quintin in fifth.
Lukas Eiselt edged a close family battle for sixth, stopping the clock at 34:54, just a single second ahead of Holgar Eiselt in 34:55.
Emma Palmer finished eighth in 35:46, with Rachel Little ninth in 35:54. Heath Kemp was unable to complete the course and recorded a DNF.
Henderson dominates duathlon category
Charlotte Henderson produced one of the standout performances of the day to comfortably win the 200m swim and 8km bike event.
She finished in 22:08, more than six minutes ahead of Julia Hawley, who completed the course in 28:19.
Kelise Wade was the sole competitor in the 200m swim, 8km bike and 1km run category and completed the course in a strong 27:26.
Julia Cunningham secured victory in the 200m swim, 5.3km bike and 1km run event, crossing the finish line in 21:40.
The junior categories showcased plenty of promise.
Pippa Henderson claimed the 100m swim, 5.3km bike and 1km run title in 25:57, while Indigo Kemp delivered the fastest time of the youngest age-group event, completing the 100m swim, 2.67km bike and 1km run course in 15:07.
The event featured competitors across a range of distances and age groups, highlighting both experienced performers and emerging young talent in an enjoyable day of multisport racing.
