Defending champions Somerset Cricket Club have revealed their President and Vice President XI selections for the final trial match ahead of the 2026 Cup Match Classic.
With selection places on the line for the marquee fixture, both squads feature a strong mix of proven Cup Match winners and key figures from last year's victorious side.
Senior batsman Terryn Fray takes the captaincy reins for the President’s Select. His side boasts significant experience from the 2025 triumph, featuring top-order force Tre Manders, veteran all-rounder Dion Stovell, slow left-armer Derrick Brangman, batsman Alex Dore, and seam bowler MacQuille Walker.
Leading the opposition, Dominic Sabir will skipper the Vice President’s Select. Sabir's lineup packs plenty of explosive potential, headlined by high-profile all-rounder Kamau Leverock, wicketkeeper-batsman Zeri Tomlinson, Dalin Richardson, and the experienced Malachi Jones—all retaining their spots from last year's squad.
The final trial represents the last opportunity for players to press their claims for final selection as Somerset prepare to defend their crown.
