The Chubb Bermuda Triangle Challenge (“CBTC”) announced that Olympic Gold Medalist Dame Flora Duffy, has agreed to be the honorary guest speaker for the January 2027 race weekend to be held Friday, January 15th through Sunday, January 17th.
Dame Flora Duffy, represented Bermuda in a total of five Olympic Summer Games and won Bermuda’s first gold medal in Triathlon during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She also was crowned ITU World Triathlon World Champion in 2016, 2017, 2021 and 2022 is a six-time winner of the XTERRAWorld Championships and won Bermuda’s first female Gold medalist in the XXI Commonwealth Games in2018.
Duffy who currently resides in Boulder, Colorado, USA, will return to her island home in January 2027 to speak at the Chubb Triangle Challenge Pasta Dinner, presented and hosted by Global Atlantic Re on January 16th at the Hamilton Princess Hotel. It is expected that Ms. Duffy will participate in some of the races during the weekend as well as engage with participants and sponsors during Bermuda’s premiere international race weekend which consists of 3 days of races: including theButterfield Mile on Friday January 15th, the Allshores 10k & 5k events on Saturday, January 16th, and thePwC full marathon, half marathon, and half marathon relay events on Sunday, January 17th.
