Eastern County Cup challengers Bailey’s Bay have officially announced their squad to take on reigning champions Cleveland County in this Saturday’s highly anticipated first-round clash at Lord’s.
The historic competition, widely regarded as one of the fiercest spectacles in Bermudian cricket, returns to the iconic St. David’s venue this weekend, with play scheduled to get underway at 10:00 am.
Bailey’s Bay have left no stone unturned in their bid to reclaim the trophy, naming a powerful, experienced lineup geared to dethrone the cup holders in their own backyard.
National team captain Terryn Fray will lead the Challengers, bringing his trademark stability at the top of the order and sharp tactical acumen to the captaincy.
Fray will be ably supported by veteran all-rounder and former national skipper Rodney Trott, who has been named vice-captain. Trott's extensive experience in high-pressure County Cup environments will be crucial if the Bay are to dismantle Cleveland’s defense.
