The Western Parishes claimed local bragging rights and the silverware after a thoroughly dominant final day of action at the Carlsberg Ocean View Cup, crushing the Eastern Parishes in the closing singles round.
Heading into the final day with everything to play for, the West turned on the style to win the final round 9-3, sealing a comprehensive 14.5 to 9.5 overall victory.
The East initially sparked hopes of a fightback when Dennis Joell fell to a defeat against Kennedy Nanette, giving the Easterners an early lead.
However, the West hit back immediately. Steven Almeida bested Vincent Minors to level the scores at 1-1, before Aaron Adams put the West ahead by dispatching Sinclair Trott.
The East showed plenty of grit in the early exchanges, striking back through Kavon Trott, who defeated Alan Lugo to restore parity at 2-2. A tense, halved match between Samuel Robinson and Donovan Livingston kept things deadlocked, but it would prove to be the East's final stand before the Western onslaught began.
From the middle order onwards, the West simply overpowered their rivals, turning a tight contest into a procession.
Ajunte Tuzo ignited the run by beating Phil Talbot to put the West 3.5-2.5 ahead, and the advantage was quickly widened when Oscar Riley saw off George O'Brien Jr.
Leroy Robinson and Marcelos Thomas fought out a hard-earned tie to briefly stem the bleeding for the East at 5-3, but the West then rattled off four straight victories to put the result beyond any doubt:
Henry Ascento extended the lead to 6-3 with a victory over Calvin Richardson. Jonathan James piled on the pressure, defeating Ebonie Cox to make it 7-3. Camiko Smith proved too strong for Damon Smith, pushing the score to 8-3. Nick Jones put the icing on the cake, defeating Darriek Douglas to wrap up a dominant 9-3 final-day scoreline.
In the end, the East had no answers for the tactical precision and clinical finishing of the Western Parishes, who deservingly won the 2026 Carlsberg Ocean View Cup.
