Team Bermuda secure pole & Nuff Said are third in Qualifying

Bermuda’s offshore powerboat racers have laid down a massive marker in Missouri, dominating the Super Stock qualifying session ahead of the highly anticipated Shootout Offshore at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The high-octane global tour arrived in freshwater territory with the rest of the international fleet desperate to catch up to the blistering pace set by the mid-Atlantic drivers. Instead, the Bermudian contingent flexed their muscles to secure two premium spots on the starting grid.

Continuing their near-flawless start to the 2026 campaign, the formidable duo of driver David Selley and throttleman Stephen Bridges steered the S-25 Team Bermuda canopy catamaran straight to the summit of the timesheets.

The championship frontrunners handled the unique river course conditions with clinical precision, unlocking maximum velocity from their 32-foot Doug Wright hull to secure pole position.

Having already secured maximum points in earlier rounds on the coast, the S-25 crew have established themselves as the definitive team to beat. Starting from the front of the grid gives them a massive tactical advantage as they look to extend their commanding 27-point lead at the top of the world standings.

The island's sensational qualifying performance was backed up beautifully by Bermuda's second entry in the premier class.

Piloted by Lewis Martin and throttled by Nick Imprescia, the S-12 canopy catamaran, titled Nuff Said, enjoyed a spectacular session on the Grand Glaize Arm of the lake.

After enduring a grueling opening stretch to the season that left them fourth overall in the world standings, the crew found an extra gear in the Missouri waters. They delivered a fierce, heavily disciplined run to secure an impressive third-place qualifying spot.

Starting from the inside of the second row, the Nuff Said crew remain firmly within striking distance of the leaders, priming the field for a potentially historic Bermudian double-podium finish when the green flag drops for tomorrow’s main event.
