Muso 10th in Centennial Showdown & BGA Monthly Medal

IslandStats.com
Standout Dylan Muso played a pivotal role as McDaniel College secured a podium finish at the 2026 Centennial Conference Men's Golf Championships.

In a tournament defined by shifting leaderboards and elite-level scoring, Muso’s consistency ensured the Green Terror remained in the hunt until the final putts dropped at the Waynesboro Country Club.

While the battle for the remaining podium spots was a tightly contested affair, Franklin & Marshall delivered a masterclass in championship golf to claim the title. The Diplomats finished with a staggering team score of 11-under par, leaving the rest of the field in their wake.

Dickinson College managed to edge out the competition for the runner-up spot, finishing at one-under par. McDaniel followed closely behind, ending their campaign with a collective total of one-over par to solidify their status as one of the conference’s premier programs.

For Muso, the final round was a test of resilience. Entering the day in a tie for fifth, the Bermudian international carded a one-over-par 73 to finish the tournament at one-over par overall. The result was enough to earn him a prestigious 10th-place finish on the individual leaderboard, marking another successful outing in his collegiate career.

Muso’s final-round scorecard reflected a battling performance on the tricky Pennsylvania greens. He notched three birdies and 11 pars, but four bogeys across the round prevented him from climbing further up the standings as the leaders began to pull away.

The top-ten finish caps off a significant period of form for Muso, who has consistently been the engine room for the McDaniel squad this spring. His ability to deliver under-par rounds in high-pressure championship environments has seen his stock rise within the Centennial Conference.

With the team securing third place, McDaniel continues to prove they are a force to be reckoned with on the regional circuit. For Muso, the focus now turns to the off-season and potential post-season opportunities as he looks to carry this momentum into his next campaign.

Holland holds off rivals to clinch BGA April Monthly Medal

Daniel Holland produced a gritty performance to claim the top spot in the Men’s Division as the Bermuda Golf Association’s April Monthly Medal concluded in testing conditions. In a field defined by tight margins, Holland’s round of 66 saw him finish at four over par, just a single stroke ahead of his nearest challenger in a dramatic finish at the top of the leaderboard.

Holland’s victory was built on a balanced scorecard featuring three Birdies and nine Pars. Despite a late Double Bogey and five dropped shots, he managed to scramble effectively to maintain his narrow advantage over Dan Roy. Roy finished in second place with a five-over-par 67, lamenting a run of six Bogeys that offset a steady afternoon of 11 pars. Arman Newton rounded out the top three with a 68, having recovered from a difficult Triple Bogey to card a round that included two birdies and a field-high 12 pars.

The Senior Division for players aged 55 and over was headlined by Ann Symonds, who navigated the course with trademark consistency. Symonds secured first place with a 12-over-par 74, a round characterized by eight Pars and eight Bogeys as she avoided the heavy scoring that troubled much of the veteran field. Geoffrey Piggott claimed second place on a countback after finishing level with Morgan Lightbourne on 76. While Lightbourne recorded a division-high nine Pars, Piggott’s ability to limit his Double Bogeys proved decisive in the final standings.
