Goals Galore as Ball Hockey Returns to PCC Rink

IslandStats.com
Bermuda's ball hockey league made an explosive return to action at the PCC Hockey rink this week, as a double-header yielded a staggering twenty goals after a string of weather-related cancellations. The night's play proved that the layoff had done little to dull the offensive instincts of the league's top marksmen, with both fixtures going down to the wire in high-scoring thrillers.

Positive Image Dental 5 Alexandra Mosher 6

The opening contest was a back-and-forth epic between Positive Image Dental and Alexandra Mosher, with the latter eventually edging an eleven-goal classic.

The first period set a frantic tone as Kyle Harvey and Jordan Gunter struck for Positive Image Dental, only to be matched by Alexandra Mosher's Adam Mattatall and Chris Hodgson.

The deadlock continued into the second period when Chris Allington found the net for Positive Image Dental, but Alexandra Mosher seized the momentum through strikes from Matt Mcphail and Mike Brennan.

A wild third period saw Josh Prodger net twice for Positive Image Dental, but a second goal for Mattatall and a decisive finish from Mike Brennan ensured Alexandra Mosher escaped with a 6–5 victory.

ACT 4 CG 5

The drama continued in the night’s second game as CG secured a narrow 5–4 win over ACT.

The first period ended level after Andrew Leavy’s opener for CG was cancelled out by ACT’s Noah Vieira.

ACT appeared to take control in the second frame as Randy Elgersma and Shane Matchett found the target, despite a response from CG’s Dallas Montgomery.
However, the final period belonged to CG as they mounted a clinical comeback.

Montgomery secured his second of the night before Nathan Kowalski and Andrew Leavy struck to turn the game on its head. A late goal from ACT's Bruce Jackson set up a grandstand finish, but CG held firm to claim the points in another high-octane encounter.
