The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) has officially welcomed the Super Stock Class to its roster for the 2026 Offshore Racing season, setting the stage for a high-octane showdown in St. Petersburg, Florida, from March 27th - 29th.
This season marks a major shift as the Super Stock Racing Group (SSRG) aligns exclusively with the IHRA, offering a defined national championship pathway and a massive prize purse.
Bermuda will be well-represented in this elite field by two veteran crews who have consistently put the island on the global map. Flying the flag in the "fastest-growing class" of offshore racing are the teams of Nuff Said and Team Bermuda, both utilizing 32-foot Doug Wright catamarans capable of speeds approaching 110 mph.
The Nuff Said (S-12) crew enters the 2026 season following a highly successful campaign that saw them clinch second place overall at the World Championships. Driver Luis Martins is now joined by world champion throttleman Nick Imprescia, who made a seamless transition to the local team late last year. Managed by Grant’s Signature Racing, the team is looking to build on their momentum after overcoming significant boat damage to secure a podium finish in Key West.
Meanwhile, Team Bermuda (S-25) remains a model of consistency with the experienced duo of driver David Selley and boat owner/throttleman Steven Bridges at the helm. The pair narrowly missed out on a world podium last season, finishing fourth overall after a hard-fought week of racing against a 14-strong fleet.
The IHRA's 2026 schedule includes seven championship rounds across the U.S., featuring a $2,000,000 total purse and national television coverage, providing an unprecedented platform for these Bermudian athletes to showcase their skill.
