Shayla Cann and her Elon University Women's Track and Field teammates commenced their season at the Liberty Kickoff inside the Liberty Indoor Complex, with the runner immediately securing a strong top-ten result in her first outing of the new campaign.
Cann competed in the Women’s 500 meters Dash Finals, where she delivered a solid performance.
The Elon athlete finished in sixth place overall, clocking a time of 1:15.63. The result marks a positive start for Cann and the team as they conclude their season opener and look ahead to the main indoor schedule.
