The Annual Offshore World Championship is delivering non-stop, high-stakes powerboat action on the waters off the Navy Outer Mole, and both Bermudian teams have navigated the challenging conditions to secure strong early results in the Super Stock Class.
Today was a demanding test for the Super Stock Class contenders, as roaring engines battled rough seas in pursuit of crucial championship points. The electric energy on the water, matched by thousands of fans lining the Navy Outer Mole and XINSURANCE VIP area, pushed competitors to the limit across three days of intense racing.
Bermuda's two entries conquered the challenging waves to ensure a strong presence at the top of the leaderboard:
S-12 Team Bermuda Nuff Said: Piloted by Luis Martins and throttled by Nick Imprescia, the team secured a top-five finish. GL Construction / S-25 Team Bermuda: With Steven Bridges at the throttles and David Selley driving, the second Bermudian boat also delivered a gutsy performance to secure a vital top-five position.
Both teams, competing in one of the most competitive classes in offshore racing, demonstrated skill and resilience by successfully mastering the rough sea conditions to stay in contention for the overall World Championship title.
