IslandStats.com
The 2025 Bermuda National Athletics Association’s (BNAA) Cross Country season has officially commenced at the Arboretum, with athletes across various age groups competing in the season’s challenging opener.

The event saw veterans and rising stars claim top honours, setting the benchmark for the campaign ahead.

Women’s Age Group Dominance

In the women's races over the 3-kilometre distance, experience shone through. Rose-Anna Hoey secured a convincing victory in the 40-49 Women’s Age Group Division, clocking a time of 21:32.80. Dem Salter finished runner-up in 23:57.60.

Meanwhile, rising star Jaeda Grant took the win in the 17-19 Women’s Age Group with a time of 23:29.00, signalling a strong start to her season.

Men’s Categories See Close Competition

The men’s 3-kilometre races also provided competitive action:

Kallan Richardson claimed the victory in the 20-39 Men’s Age Group, stopping the clock at 22:40.90.

In the 40-49 Men’s Age Group, John Nalback took first place with a time of 24:08.90. He was followed by Nathan Trott, who finished in second place with a time of 29:00.20.

The meet serves as a crucial early marker, allowing runners to gauge their form ahead of the National Cross Country Championships later this year.
