Bermudian athlete Krista Dyer, representing the Bermuda Sanshou Association, has been defeated on points in her Sanda discipline bout at the 2025 World Games.
Dyer, who received a bye in the first round of the women's 70kg division, faced Seyedehyasaman Bagherzadehvaskas from Iran. In a hard-fought contest, Dyer was unable to overcome her opponent, ultimately going down on points.
The result means Dyer will not advance to the final, but she is scheduled to compete in a bronze medal bout. Her participation in the World Games marks a significant achievement for the Bermudian fighter, who is one of many athletes competing on the international stage at the multi-sport event in China.
