Bermuda Pacers Light Up Flying Angels Championships

Bermuda Pacers Track Club athletes have made a blistering start to the Flying Angels International Track & Field Championships, securing an impressive haul of medals across various age groups and disciplines on Day One on the York University’s Track and Field Center in Toronto, Ontario.

The young Bermudian contingent showcased their talent with a series of dominant victories and strong podium finishes.

The Pacers finished with a total of 31 Medals, 10 Gold, 13 Silver, and 8 Bronze on Day One

Gold Medal Performances:

Boys 1200m Under 9: Elliott Davidge claimed top honours with a winning time of 4:29.42.
Girls 400m Under 9: Skye Furbert delivered a dominant performance to win Gold in 1:17.75.
Boys 400m Under 9: Elliott Davidge secured his second Gold of the day, clocking 1:14.41, a remarkable double for the young athlete.
Girls 400m Under 16: Kelise Wade showcased her speed, winning Gold in 58.95.
Boys 100m Under 13 Finals: Jadon Lightbourne sprinted to victory, stopping the clock at 12.54.
Girls 4x100m (Under 10): The quartet of Giselle Reid-Rubaine, Diamond Morris, and Bree Simmons combined for a winning time of 1:03.98.
Girls 4x100m (Under 14): C. Pitcher-Place, Z. Goodchild, A. Davis, and L. Raynor stormed to Gold in 51.33.
Girls 4x100m (Under 16): The team of K. Wade, D. Bailey, S. Minors, and Z. Lawerence took top spot in 50.91.
Girls 1500m Under 18: Azari Jones showcased her endurance, winning Gold in 5:12.40.
Boys Long Jump Under 10: Thedore Smith soared to victory, claiming gold with a top leap of 3.99m.

Silver Medal Performances:

Girls 400m Under 10: Diamond Morris earned a Silver Medal, finishing in 1:16.85.
Boys 400m Under 11: Conor Kane ran to a Silver Medal in 1:08.85.
Girls 400m Under 14: Sukanya Jobson secured second place with a time of 1:01.89.
Girls 1500m Under 15: Riana Robinson claimed Silver in 5:05.12.
Girls 100m Under 8 Finals: Raelyn Robinson sprinted to Silver in 16.46.
Girls 100m Under 9 Finals: Skye Furbert added a Silver to her Gold, clocking 14.97.
Girls 100m Under 10 Finals: Giselle Reid-Rubaine secured a Silver Medal in 15.12.
Girls 100m Under 12 Finals: Aalirah Daniels ran to a Silver medal in 13.38.
Girls 4x100m (Under 12): The team of A. Daniels, A. St Luce, and Z. Cann-Berkley earned Silver in 56.39.
Girls High Jump Under 11: Alaya Simmons secured a silver medal, clearing 1.10m.
Girls Long Jump Under 9: Skye Furbert added another medal to her collection (having won gold in the 400m), earning silver with a jump of 3.21m.
Girls Long Jump Under 10: Bree Simmons delivered a strong performance for silver, leaping 3.55m.
Girls Long Jump Under 12: Aalirah Daniels also claimed a silver medal with a jump of 4.04m.

Bronze Medal Performances:

Girls 1500m Under 14: Elena Bortoli earned a Bronze Medal, crossing the line in 5:16.03.
Boys 400m Under 13: Ajani Trott secured third place with a time of 1:01.80.
Boys 1500m Under 15: Timothy Pearman took home a Bronze medal in 4:37.54.
Boys 4x100m (Under 16): The team of N. Johnson, T. Pearman, C. Minors-Butterfield, and E. Andrade secured Bronze in 48.96.
Girls High Jump Under 14: Dani Eve secured a bronze medal, clearing 1.30m.
Girls Long Jump Under 10: Giselle Reid-Rubaine earned a bronze medal with a jump of 3.48m.
Girls Long Jump Under 12: Zaya Cann-Berkley took bronze with a jump of 3.92m.
Boys Long Jump Under 13: Harlo Robinson secured third place with a leap of 4.48m.

The impressive start bodes well for Bermuda Pacers as the championships continue throughout the weekend.
