The Bermuda cricket season delivered a feast of runs and competitive encounters across both the Premier and First Divisions today, with several teams showcasing their batting prowess and a few individual performances standing out.

PREMIER DIVISION

Southampton Rangers Won by 225 Runs

At the Sea Breeze Oval, the Southampton Rangers delivered a resounding 225-run victory over Western Stars. Batting first after winning the toss, the Rangers amassed a formidable total of 309 for 7.

Nacori Smith was the architect of their innings, smashing an impressive 106 runs off 119 balls, including 6 sixes and 5 fours. Brian Hall was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers, claiming 6 wickets for just 44 runs from his 10 overs.

In reply, Western Stars crumbled to just 84 all out, with Jaiden Manders top-scoring with 32. Swayne Campbell led the Southampton Rangers' bowling attack, taking 2 wickets for a mere 5 runs from 3.2 overs.

Somerset Cricket Club Won by 6 Wickets

PHC won by 7 Wickets

A day after scoring 318 runs and retaining the Central County Cup on the same pitch, the Devonshire Recreation Club suffered a 7-wicket defeat to PHC.

Devonshire, batting first, were bowled out for 78, with Rudell Pitcher top-scoring with 14. Dionte Dowling was in exceptional form for PHC, returning impressive figures of 5 wickets for 23 runs from 7 overs.

PHC then comfortably chased down the target, scoring 82 for 3, led by Davin Dill's unbeaten 33. Shaquille Pitcher took 2 wickets for 32 runs for Devonshire Recreation Club.

Flatt’s Victoria Won by 8 Wickets

Warwick Workmen's Club 172 Flatt’s Victoria 173/2


At the Southampton Oval, Flatt’s Victoria secured a convincing 8-wicket victory over Warwick Workmen's Club.

Warwick batted first and were bowled out for 172, with Staphen Dill providing a quickfire 54 off 43 balls. Keegan Jones was the destroyer for Flatt’s Victoria, claiming 5 wickets for 31 runs from his 10 overs.

Flatt’s Victoria then made light work of the chase, reaching 173 for 2. Dajon Carey was the top scorer with 64 off 75 balls, hitting 11 fours and a six, while Kamau Leverock picked up 2 wickets for 20 runs for Warwick Workmen’s Club.
