Competing for Montverde Academy at Franklin Field, University of Pennsylvania, Outerbridge showcased his impressive speed in Heat 6 of the 200m preliminaries. He powered across the finish line in a winning time of 21.02 seconds, a performance that not only won his heat but also cemented his place among the fastest qualifiers for the championship final.
