Bermuda has fully commenced their preparations for the upcoming ICC Americas Men’s T20 Qualifiers in Canada, securing a 30-run victory over the Cayman Islands in a warm-up match at the Maple Leaf Cricket Club.

The Bermudian side won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a competitive total of 172 for 7 from their allotted 20 overs. Dominic Sabir was the standout with the bat, top-scoring with a brisk 46 runs off just 26 balls, an innings that included 6 fours and 1 six. Troy Taylor was the pick of the Cayman Islands bowlers, claiming four wickets for 43 runs in his four overs.
In reply, the Cayman Islands got off to a flying start, reaching 73 before losing their first wicket in the seventh over. However, Bermuda's bowlers fought back admirably, pegging the Cayman Islands back and eventually bowling them out for 142. Opener Jermaine Baker was the top scorer for the Cayman Islands with 51. Dominic Sabir completed an excellent all-round performance by also being the pick of the Bermuda bowlers, returning impressive figures of four wickets for 21 runs in his four overs.
