Gayle Lindsay and John Carreiro were today crowned the respective Female and Male Champions of the Race for Memories, held in Bermuda's picturesque East End.
The 5K race, which took runners around the scenic Cut Road, saw strong performances in both categories.
In the women's race, Gayle Lindsay delivered an impressive run to claim victory, stopping the clock in a winning time of 18 minutes and 36 seconds. Christine Dailey secured second place with a time of 18 minutes and 48 seconds, while Naomi Macguinness rounded out the female podium, finishing sixth overall in 19 minutes and 14 seconds.
The men's race saw a competitive finish. John Carreiro was the first male across the line, securing his championship title with a time of 19 minutes and 5 seconds. Marquis Burgess was the second male finisher, clocking 19 minutes and 13 seconds, and Joe Barrowclough took the third male spot, finishing fifth overall in the same time of 19 minutes and 13 seconds.
The Race for Memories not only provided a platform for competitive running but also contributed to a meaningful cause in the beautiful East End setting.
