Bermuda Bowlers in Begin Competing at CAC Championships

The prestigious Central American and Caribbean Bowling Confederation Championships have commenced in the Dominican Republic, with all six members of the Bermuda squad participating in the individual competitions on Day One.
Damien Matthews led the way for the Bermudian contingent, finishing in a respectable 26th place overall after knocking down a total of 1293 pins. Matthews started strongly, recording his best game in the first round with an impressive score of 269. He also registered scores of 247 and 210 during his series.
David Maycock finished further down the rankings in 48th place with a total of 1197 pins. Maycock also started well, achieving his best game of 233 in the opening round. He followed this up with two games of 204 and one of 201.
Dayvon Tucker ended the day in 56th position with a total pinfall of 1130. His best game came in the third round, where he bowled a score of 220. Michael Honore finished just behind Tucker in 58th place with 1051 pins, his highest score of the day being a 212 in the third game.
Jamel Bean finished in 60th place with a total of 1010 pins. His standout game was a 232, which he bowled in the fourth round. Blake Raynor rounded out the Bermuda team's performance in the individual competition, finishing in 62nd place with 974 pins. His best game of the day was his second, where he knocked down 179 pins.
While the individual competitions have now concluded, the Bermuda bowlers will undoubtedly be looking to learn from their experiences on Day One as they prepare for the team events in the Central American and Caribbean Bowling Confederation Championships.
