IslandStats.com
Seven-year-old Raelyn Robinson has delivered a stunning performance at the Speed Capital Ohio Showcase in Cincinnati, claiming the Gold Medal in the Long Jump with an impressive leap.

In a remarkable display of athleticism, Robinson soared to a new Personal Best of 3.2 meters or 10.5 feet to secure the Long Jump Champion title at the highly competitive youth event.

Competing against some of the top young elite athletes from across the Midwest region of the United States, Robinson showcased her all-round talent by participating in a total of three events. Alongside her gold-medal winning jump, she also delivered strong performances in the sprints, securing her place in the finals of both the 100m and 200m events, even winning her heat in the 200m.

In the highly anticipated 'Justin Gatlin 100m Dash Showcase', Robinson narrowly missed out on a podium finish in the 7-year-old category, placing a commendable 4th overall, just a quarter of a second behind the top three.

Speaking after her impressive meet, a delighted Robinson said, “I’m really proud of myself. I love jumping and I love sprinting. I also like competing because I get to meet a lot of new people.”

Adding to the family success, Raelyn's younger sister, five-year-old Reyna Robinson, also took part in her first international track meet in the Under 6 category. A beaming Reyna said, “I was a bit nervous, but I was confident and believed in myself.”

Meet Officials were quick to congratulate Raelyn on her outstanding achievement and expressed their anticipation in witnessing her continued success and growth on the international track and field circuit.

Raelyn, who already holds the Under 6 Speed Capital New York MVP title, trains with the esteemed Bermuda Pacers Track Club. Her promising season continues with upcoming meets for the club in Toronto and North Carolina this summer. This latest gold medal is a testament to her hard work and dedication, marking her out as a rising star in youth athletics.
